First Impressions with Jeff Werkstatt Products

I just tried Jeff's Prime and AJet on both my Colorados, one red, one dark green.

I love the Prime and how it goes on by PC. Applied it with a blue pad very thin and worked it until it seemed to disappear. Waited about a half an hour then buffed the rest off with a MF.

I used Scottwax's WOWO method for the AJ. Very easy to apply and no problems with removal.

I love the ease of use for both products and they left both trucks shining better than new.

I believe! :spot

Anyone used AJ who formerly used Zaino. Does it compare?

I've used both products but Zaino only a few times (other than Z8). I think AJ looks better....wetter and deeper. I still have a little Z2 Pro left but no ZFX so I don't know if a side by side comparison would be totally fair for Zaino.

I still use Zaino regularly on my black Benz and AJ on my silver BMW. I tend to use them for different reasons. AJ because I can apply a coat quickly and it's cheap. Looks nice. :LOLOL Zaino because it last so long all I have to do is wash the car, and occassionaly spray it down with Z8.

Recieved my package yesterday. Very nicely packed, got a nice letter from Jeff as well. I like the style of the bottles, very nice in deed.

I think that many people have been testing AJ and Prime in cold weather which is why we have seem some below par results and the difficulty that some may have had. I applied the product in a 70 deg garage with no problem, but in 38 deg weather I began to have some streaking problems and removal issues. Once I took the car into a warm garage and let the paint warm up a bit it was smooth sailing. Hope this makes sense.

Personally, I'd NEVER detail a car in 38-40 degree weather unless I'm in my garage with the propane heater running. Only then does it get up to the preferred 60 degree temp needed to apply/remove wax/polish/sealant. Unless I'm missing something, isn't that whats needed to do a proper job on your car?

Not necessarily true. I've done my X many times in low 40's low 50's with no problem, but some products might not work well in those temps. The products I've used in the past and present are all ok for those temps. I just got some AJ, but will wait until spring to use it or when temps are in the mid 50's or so, just to make sure.

topnotch,

How did you apply the AJ?

I use the spray nozzle that came with AJ and lightly misted a viper microfiber pad. I also made sure to apply in a very well lit area so that I could make sure application was even
