This was my first "real" attempt at detailing. The subject was a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 50k miles, horrendous tiger stripes from a rotary in the hands of the dealer's lot monkey.
I washed, clayed, DACP, then Mothers Sealer/Glaze (step 2) and then Mother's Pure Carnuba Wax (step 3). Taped off all the emblems and trim, and used the PC with polishing pads, the ultimate bonnet(s) and a finishing pad. Please excuse the tires, I did not realize that I was out of anything shiny for the tires
I know my pics aren't the best but it's my first and kind of wanted all of you to see it. Oh yes, the tiger stripes are gone
A special thanks to bretfraz for his patience in explaining some processes to me, and for the sample of DACP to get me started, and to Forrest for the hands-on demonstration last Saturday in the rain in St. Louis. :bigups
