Sooo I learned first hand that the clear coat on these is harder than titanium! Ok anyway its nowhere perfect but the owners were happy cuz this car needed some polishing!



Process:

FOAM GUN with eagle one car wash.

Tons of eagle one wheel cleaner and some degreaser on the wheels and wheel wells(took a friend of mine about an hour to get these suckers clean)

Test spot: M80, nada. M83, nada.

OC finally did somethin which was going to have to be good enough since we only had our PC's and orange pads.

I followed my friend with OP.(I love the finish it leaves)

Topped with M21

Pinnacle Signature Series Carnuba wax

Meg's UQD

And even a random spray wax my friend had on hand! I know overkill haha.

NXT all metal polish on the exhaust tips

Tons of tire dressing.



Enough talk. 6 hours=

Considering we did our best with what we had the owners were very happy with the results. We even got a tip.

nice crisp electric looking blue you got there good job bro. that hour your buddy spent on those wheels sure paid off.
 
Did your pads turn blue at all?



Whenever i polish my car, the pad turn blue as if the paint was single stage.

Ummmmmm what kind of car????



That is wierd that you thought the paint was hard, I have found Nissian paint to be rather soft in general. This just goes to prove that even the same car/year can have wide variences in paint hardness.
 
Yeah I did actually pick up some blue pigment on the lower panels(like the painted parts under the body tho it was sprayed after the rest of the car). and swirls were definitely wayyyyyyyyy less when we finished. and I have to tell you anything I threw at this paint didnt touch it till the OC actually did somethin which we decided was good enough..
