I was told that PoorBoy and Mike Phillips were one in the same person. Wait maybe it was Poorboy and Barry. :D That'll stir it up.

that would surprise Lynn and my wife and i can't smile as much as Barry can ...I'd need a few more millions in my bank account :notme:

So what I am hearing is, it would be OK by you for anyone to buy a gun, and use it for whatever they like, without any training what so ever?

whether its hunting, target practice, self-defense, etc?

I really don't think you mean that?

On the assault rifle banning that the a lot of people wanted passed....your right the media posted what they wanted us to hear..That same media is telling the same people that this one super wax will protect their cars for 2 years, without any more waxing..we here at DC know that's not true..why? Because we have taken the time to educate ourselves...we know this is a media hype...But yet thousands of bottles of this super wax are sold...Isn't it great when you can show someone like this just how detailing a car is done...they change their views right away...Those that take the time to educate themselves will be able to make logical decisions....there are a lot that will not...no matter what it is....so don't blame the media is what I am saying:huh:

I don't have a problem with that other than that is the camel sticking his nose under the tent or to put it another way this would be the first step toward more and more regulations in an effort to keep people from owning and carrying a firearm.

First would be training then a high priced permit and if you carry you must have the permit and any other thing that the anti gun crowd can think of.

Most people who support gun laws base it on what the Liberal Electronic press tells them.

Example is how a lot of people support the assault rifle ban but don't know what an assault rifle really is they go with what they are told by the media and it is WRONG.

The federal firearms act was passed in 1934 outlawing owning a fully automatic weapon without the 200 dollar federal stamp.

Since then tens of thousands have owned them I have several myself and since 1934 not ONE legally registered machine gun has been used in the commission of a crime.

So what you support is a law that is to be the solution to a problem that don't exist.

These are well meaning people but by relying on the media leaves them without enough correct info to make an intelligent decision

Don't close the thread!!

Guys, keep in mind my first post and don't get too off track with the topic. Whether or not you carry/own is a matter of personal choice and nothing that can be said at DC is going to change your opinions on the subject. I am just curious to see (via the poll mainly) who totes and who don't.

I think there's been some good discussion. Censure is not good. That's what governments think they're for (not web forums).

Dave the wax is not the same it is a paid commercial.

The crap that is put on the news is intended to promote their Liberal Agenda.

When I see a tv commercial I expect it to be hype but the new should not be.

I don't think the news networks are capable of just reporting the news without putting their spin on it.
Look how many times CNN has been caught reporting false stories

I mean it. As long as it is within the confines of legality, I think anyone should be able to buy whatever type of firearm their heart desires.

I am not against training, either. But when used as a means of controlling the purchase of a firearm, I am dead set against it. If you seriously think that police train more often than most of the die hard concealed carry folks, you're dead wrong. Many of these guys (normal everyday folks) train and practice all the time.

BB...what you don't like is what they are reporting..if it went along with what you believed it would be just fine then....I can't blame the media for how they report news...

I agree the law should not govern what fire arm you want to buy, as long as the proper paperwork is filed

I didn't say one trains / practices more than another...what I said is...law enforcement officers are trained to use a gun in a highly populated area / public...they simulate these scenarios so that they will react level headed and not emotionally charged as someone who is defending himself or family might...is there a class or place that a average person can go to take that type of training?....

Look at what it takes to get a driver license for kids these days...classes, restrictions, etc...why...because they have no sense of the danger...a car in the un-trained hands is a killing machine...a gun in a non-trained hands is a killing machine
