With so much love for FK425 and 1000P, I was wondering, are there any other amazing sleepers in the line? Sealants, tire dressings, compound, polishes, soaps... They pretty much have it all, but some items are large quantity.

I personally love these type of low-hype companies that quietly make great products. Collinite, Poorboys, Lusso, et.al.

Ultra Polymer Sealant 2180 is pretty good and reasonably priced. I have gotten decent durability with it.

I have many samples of their popular products. Most of them I have tried at one time or another. I believe the two you mention, Wax Addict, are the shining stars.

Their other QD, FK146 is OK too, better cleaning and *maybe* a tiny bit of concealing ability.

Their Decontamination system works, can be *VERY* effective, but it's nasty stuff and more likely to result in an "oops!" than the ValuGard system.

Another FK product I use and like is the FK Anti Static Poly Wipe Restorer Spray Detailer. Leaves a very slick surface and anti static is a winner for me.

I have a bottle of their top kote tire dressing. Wasn't impressed with it. One or two times out in the rain and it was gone. Looked great at first but durability just isn't there. I still have like 3/4 of a 32oz bottle. Been sitting on the shelf for almost a year now

Playing Devil's Advocate here, but maybe some of these products are just old and not updated with the latest technologies. In many cases, that's OK, even preferred. Sometimes, not so much.

Is that the FK146 or something else?

Yes, Accum, he's referring to FK146, known by those nouns. I've been wanting to try this. $14 for 31 oz.

Speaking of trying things, thanks to a forum member, I got ahold of some FK108 Top Coat. ShaneB, above, mentioned not liking it on tires. I've tried it on my rear tires with Bold & Brite on fronts. FK108 was a tad more matte, but longevity has been nearly identical. But, FK108 has excelled on my dash. Two weeks in, my dash still has a low-level gloss, but more imprtantly, not a speck of dust has had an affinity to the dash.

FK claims anti-static on some of thier products, and it appears to be the case. ShaneB, if you want to unload that 108....

WaxAddict- Hey, that's interesting about the FK108! I've never really experienced any of that anti-static quality, but I'd sure appreciate it on certain surfaces.

I look forward to hearing what you think of the FK146.

It'll take me a while to go through my current supply of FK425 and FK146, and we'll see whether or not I really let IUDJ replace them.

Accum, yes the stuff I was referring to is fk-146. Didn't know the numbers until just looking it up. I bought it on bogo so I have plenty. I do like it. Glossy and the little amount of dust slides off the car when I drive it. The car is a weekend ride.

I've tried many of their products, and as others have mentioned...they are decent at best. They aren't bad, but they aren't good either. I think FK's technology is pretty far in the past (which isn't good for me). I do, however, love 425...it's still a winner. I've used the 146, and if you've used 425, you won't like 146. It's better for a "cleaning" QD...but that's not what I personally use QD for, so I don't like it.
I also love hidden-treasures, but I personally don't think FK has any beyond the 425 and 1000p that they are known for.

I only appreciate the cleaning if I use it for post-wash wheel touchups (brake mess from the initial drive after the wash), but there are times when I deliberately choose it as a drying aid instead of FK425. While I still debate whether I'll keep buying QDs other than FastFinish (leaning more towards IUDJ and spray waxes), I do still find reasons to use both FK425 and FK146.

Accumulator I've seen you mention Valugard FastFinish quite often. What is unique about this product that sets it apart from the other spray wax, QD, WW ?

conquistador- The FastFinish somehow gives the *exact* look/sheen that I want on black plastic/rubber trim and other stuff like that. Yeah, it's just a "leaves lots of stuff behind-type QD", or a really weak spraywax....and no, I don't like the look it leaves on paint. But for trim, there's *NOTHING* I like better. Note that I basically don't use dressings (except for on tires), this is the stuff I use instead. Works great on top of Ultima's trim sealant too, or on top of the LSPs/spraywaxes/etc. that I also use on trim. Great for inside wells and for undercar stuff, and helps such surfaces stay easy-to-clean.
