Just One More Coat
I'm wondering who here has used there line of products? they seem to have allot high end looking stuff...this is the stuff that I'm going to use on my personal cars.....I got there decomination wash kit this last week, but its blowing big time here in NO CA so that's on hold for now....I was thinking about their polishes and glazes for my black ride.

Any thoughts on this line?

Thanks

I have heard much praise from all the FK1 line. There were several threads I read about many of the products. I have purchased there sampler pack ,but have not tried any as of yet. soon .

GregCavi and Joyride have both used FK1 . Greg is a big fan of their products and CS and has very good results. Joyride has used their products after a repaint on His Black BMW rear Bumper, btw the same colour as yours and has become another Happy Customer of FK1 and their CS.

I havnt come across an fk1 product that I havnt liked! For starter I reccomend:

Pink Wax
#2180 Sealant
FX-100 Spray Glaze Sealant
#425 QD

YOu will love them on your black ride!

Greg

Sister's Audi wearing #2180 and FK100.

Wheels have Hi-Temp 1000P Paste.

Not only are their products durable, but they look good too! I love it because it makes me feel comfortable about only needing to wash and qd, especially when I only touch her car every other week.

I have tried and been using FK1 for about a year now.

Finish Kare is the real deal. Their products are very user friendly and give great results. They have been around for decades but seem to becoming popular lately on different forums. The products are very durable and keep their "look" for a long time. I have - and what i think are must haves are -

#2180 sealant
1000p synthetic wax
#2685 Pink Wax
FX-100 spray glaze sealant
#425 QD

Another cool thing is when you order they send samples of their other products. I have gotten samples of their car wash and light compound which i am eager to try out. Another geat extra is the flat shipping rate of $4.99 in the US.

good luck,

What products are you planning to use? I think you'll be very pleased with the results that you get.

Hey,

I remember reading and hearing you were trying to get a hold of their deco-kit.

How did it go?

I gave it another whirl on my aunts minivan that got the zaino treatment and it did both good and bad. lol. I that even makes sense.

The car was really gritty and felt like any uncared for vehicle feels.

I used the step #1 and step 2. I used Megs gold class for step #3.

It left the paint really smooth, just like clay. Removed rust and water spots as well.

One thing it didn't do was remove overspray. I had to grab a claybar and swipe it once or twice.

Hope to hear your thoughts on it.

Honestly, I wasn't blown away with the decon kit vs. using clay & polishing. That aside, I think FK has a very good line up. The car wash, 425, 218, 2180, Pink Wax, 303, 330, FX-100, and a host of others have performed very well on light/dark/metallic/etc... paint.

Zaino has the advantage wrt slickness.

Outside of that, FK and Zaino can produce AMAZING finishes if you do a good job on prep.

What distinguishes FK and Z from the others:
-on black paint, little or no water spots (when it rains on a hot day and bakes).
-Noticeable difference in dust attraction.
-Slick as snot when you wash.
-Retains the 'just detailed look'

Ok, I'll stop. FK and Z are two of my favorite products on black paint.
