Finish Kare Decontamination kit vs. Clay

Ive done some searching on this forum and have found nothing comparing the two. Mostly I just see them being an alternatives to each other? What are some pro's and con's to each???? I personally am starting to feel using both would be the best.

From what I've seen and read, clay and a decon kit would be complimentary. The decon kit is just a chemical cleaning where the clay is mechanically abrasive. Both have their stregths and weakness. If you decon before you clay, it will make your clay job easier and probably give a better surface prep that just either one alone. This is certainly dependent on both the original state of the paint and it's level of contamination to start with, though.

Yeah, I agree. Though I've only used the "other" decontamination system, I clay while the acidic step is dwelling, sorta "helps it along". If you try this, be careful to avoid marring as you won't have the same lubrication that dedicated clay lube would provide.
