I definitely want to try their products! When I saw Sean' Teg with the Pink wax, I thought OMG! Sadly, I must find a way to pay, because they accept only PayPal, and Hungary does not exist on PayPal's list... :(

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to compare it to ABC and the Caprice could sorta use a "clean slate" approach. Hmmm I'll mull it over...I gotta say that I don't like the way FK slams their competitors (and/or their products) and the way some of their "supporters" get all, uhm, contentious when discussing this stuff.
 
FK goes a little overboard on their marketing, however, I've been very happy with everything I've bought from them. I just used Pink Wax today for the first time in a while, and although it does reek of solvents, man does it look great. I think another decon kit might be in my future, too :).
 
If I were Finish Kare I would offer a very generous 25% off on their products as it seems that they have not been widely spread yet. It would be a great opportunity for a very large body to be checking out their products and probably buying them because of the good discount. 9.99%? Not that great, but it still is something.

Tort, I think that is not an appropriate reaction from a mod. It is not your duty to represent your own judgement this time. It is a simple offer. Maybe they want to change their brand perception.

TLL, a member associated with FK, tried to deceive the members of this forum with the intent of drumming up business. As a moderator, I believe it is indeed my duty to expose vendors and mfrs. that are spamming the community.

Where is the spam now??? Just don't treat FK as an enemy or threat. FK is just another interesting manufacturer, such as CG or whatever. And no, I am not associated with them. I not even tried their products.



But I am really curious, and I think (based on various reviews) these products must be excellent.

And while appreciating their efforts, I WANT TO TRY FINISH KARE products, regardless of mods, policies, or anything. To me, curiosity and the experience of a good product is greater than any authority dramas.

I understand that someone associated with FK was banned in the past, but this should not prevent us from taking advantage of a post about a FK discount. Many users want to try new products. Being biased against FK based on a past transgression of one person is draconian and unfair to all members who may like to try their products.

I agree, try the products, see if you like them, it's a big part of the hobby.

You'll notice that the information regarding the discount quite purposely hasn't been removed, and neither have any posts referencing FK been removed simply because they mention FK. I may not care for FK's failed attempt at "marketing" on Autopia, but I'm not about to start deleting posts that mention their products, nor have I ever in the past.



Please, if you wish to try FK products, feel free to take advantage of their discount and post your reviews.

Heads up to Tort for his handling of the situation. He's receiving unecessary flak. As he said, he's simply removing the spam :rules: and keeping the product discussion / discount posts for all to benefit from :up

maybe it was a different thread but the FK representative was responding to a question asked by a forum member-not spamming without "invitation". whether you agree with FK's opinion regarding their products answering an autopian's question is the best interest of the community. the best way to get the most accurate info is from a manufacterer of the product not some other poster who doen't have any real knowledge about what he's posting other than personal opinon. The lack of manufacturers who post here leaves a bit of a hole in a lot of thread's credibility. that isn't advocating an anything goes type of policy regarding manufacturers tho.
