oxidazies around the edges

I doubt many of you read all of that but post anyway I need all the input I need, with critiques, tips, nub traps anything you can even tell me how cool I am.

But first a few questions:

1. How am I going to tackle the oxidation around the edges?

2. PC going to be able to tackle this?

I'm so excited for this weekend when I actually start this detail, Hopefully it will look half as good as your guys cars hehe.

Thanks for all your help,

Chris

I would highly recommend some klasse AIO to clean up that oxidation. The stuff works wanders and still amazes me everytime i use it. Also, you might consider buying a smaller pad for heavy duty cutting. In my experience, 6.5" pads have taken a long time at high speeds to do much good. :xyxthumbs

Great to see another MR2 owner here.

I'd tape off the edges and do them by hand. The paint is probably thin around the edges of the headlights and hood. A good detailing will make it look like new.

I do my 91 Red MR2 with Meg's #80, #81 and NXT (x2). #80 cuts the oxidation easily. I use Meg's NXT booster after every wash to keep the paint sealed and oxidation free. I use a PC with Meg's pads. Here are a couple shots of mine. 128,000 miles and a daily driver until two years ago. A garage queen now.

Try the green pad and light cut 1st , then if it doesnt remove the swirls , orange pad and light cut with no additional pressure added to the pad .

ALways try the lightest cut 1st and work your way up in cut if needed only .
