Finally tried Carnuba over Zaino...

I keep reading about it and I finally gave it a try. The reason was that I had really nice water beading, and a great shine, but not much depth.....

WOW!!!!

A little S100 and it looks like a new car..........and on BLACK!!! AWESOME!

Thanks, everyone, for the good advise.

??? At what point do I need to go back and Z again?

I also recently topped my Z with S100. I'm impressed with S100 on silver, looks so nice. Glad you found a combo you like Bill! :bigups

i used s100 over zaino on red and to be honest i didn't see a diffrence until i layered it again. but it look nice on our car. by the way i like the hood and the white grill it gives the car a mean look.

good luck

So you can or cannot layer Z over the S100? For example, say you have 8 coats of Z2 and you then apply 2 coats of S100, then can you re-apply the Z2/Z5 again....... with no problems?

Yup...I'm also a zaino topper using S100/P21S...*I* think it's an AWESOME combination...I've done it on my rally blue WRX as well as a jet black M5...car looks fabulous Luster!...

you cannot layer Z over s100...if you wanted to add more Z, then you would have to strip the carnauba by giving your car a dawn wash...then you can re-layer the Z...the dawn will remove the carnauba but not the Z...

hope this helps...

Showroom Lincoln,

Could you post some pics of your silver with Z topped with S100?

I have a silver car with multiple layers of Z and would like to know if topping would be worth the effort. Thanks in advance.

I was thinking..(always dangerous!!)

If I put 3 coats of Z on and then top with S100 for the summer months..then let the S100 wear off by itself leaving the 3 coats of Z..shouldnt the Z last throughout the winter months when I cant wax?? Obviously you would have to apply the S100 monthly to keep it up and then depending on the finish in the spring you would either add more Z or strip everything and start over..Seems like a nice compromise between the protection of Z and the depth of S100...

You cannot layer Z over wax.

I did the test on my bike:the fueltank was waxed with Meguiars Gold Class Paste Wax.Last Saturday I Z-d my car and with a few drops left I z-d over the Wax.

I let dry for about an hour.

Then I buffed : the Z came right off.

How do I know?

Well, after buffing the tank felt still as slick as the fairing(allso waxed with MGCPW)but deffinatly not as slick as my z-d car:xyxthumbs

That's why I dare to state that the Z came right off
