Carnuba Moose Wax is the official name. Price is $18 for a 16 oz bottle. It should be on the website in a day or two.



Anyway, the shop I buy Clearkote products from already got in a shipment of the new Carnuba Moose Wax, so I've already got some in my greedy hands. They also finally got some the car wash soap in which is one product I haven't yet tried.



I've noticed the 'wet look' you get using CMW is more apparent on lighter colors. I detailed a tan Volvo S60 today, and after using Final Polish, I used CMW and looking from the panel I applied it to and the adjacent panel I hadn't, there was a noticable improvement in gloss and shine. I had my customer take a look without telling her what I had done, just which panel looked best, and she immediately pointed to the one I'd applied CMW to and said it looked 'wetter.



I'm washing the Lexus LS400's that I waxed with the sample of CMW that I got to test tomorrow (the green one was waxed on June 10th, the tan one about 2 weeks ago), so the green one will be a good indicator of how the shine, beading and slickness are holding up after about 6 weeks.



Something else I noticed about CMW-the bottle is definitely heavier than the same sized bottle of Vanilla Moose. I e-mailed Everett about the weight and he said "The weight of the CMW is due to the density of the ingredients. It has the highest concentration (amount) of carnauba and the purest in liquid form. That is what makes it so heavy."



I did take pics of the cars I used it on, so I will post them as soon as I finish the roll and get it developed.
 
Everett just sent out my CMW on Monday along with some of his new foam applicators and a couple of his wash mitts. I can't wait to get them. Of course, coming from Texas, they won't get here until Monday or so. :(

The applicator is similar to the Meguiars foam hand pads, maybe a little denser and they are also square instead of round. If you have something similar, you should be fine using what you have right now.



This is a BMW 540i (the same one in my gallery that I waxed with Moose Wax last summer) that I detailed on Sunday using VM and Carnuba Moose. I think it turned out pretty good!

How did you find the CMW w/ VM when comparing to CMW and other combo? Is there a way VM makes a better prep for the wax?



About the Moose Wax, you said you did that car last Summer with it, and in my opinion, it's still far from being put aside. In fact, I've been using it more and more on light colors. White was never as reflective as with it, and silver is incredible with two (yes, 2) coats with it. No matter it's a cleaner, it just turns out better with two rounds with it.



I'll receive soon my CMW, I'll post my experiences latter. :xyxthumbs

I've used both the Final Polish/CMW combo and the VM/CMW combos and both look great. Since CMW is a pure wax, if you haven't polished in a while, I'd definitely use something like VM, Meguiars #7, or S100 SEC first before using CMW.



I still really like Moose Wax, it is my choice on one step wax jobs for paint that does need some cleaning prior to waxing, but the owner of the car doesn't want to pay for a 2 step process. I also use it for tar removal since it removes tar effectively and I don't need to rewax after using it.



When you try CMW the first time, use it on a panel, the look at the one adjacent to it that you haven't yet used it on and I am positive you will see a noticable improvement of the 'wetness' of the CMW panel.
 
I know the wax is brand new, but I see see reference to other products that aren't listed on Clearkote's site, like pads and wash mitts. Do you have to ask for them specifically or are they not sold via the website?

He is adding them to the site, but since he doesn't do the uploading himself, he has to wait on his webmaster to post the new stuff. I know what he is going through....my brother is my site's admin and getting him to update even the front page pic is like pulling teeth.



You can always send the an e-mail and inquire about ordering the new stuff.
 
Hey I got it too! And it was sent last Friday (5 days to ship to Portugal!).



I didn't try them yet but one thing's for sure: It's a brand new VMWHG (totally different from the other) and totally different looking wax (from MW). :bounce
 
I like the Carnauba Moose Wax but I think its only lasting about four weeks on my cars, same for S100 too. I always find myself going back to Prowax P-35-H Satin Crème because it last a good 8 weeks before I need to reapply.

The only difference is that the vanilla scent has been removed because it was warping the bottles. I've got both and I cant tell the difference in performance.

So much for vanilla :p



I will have to try VM - CMW after my SEPC - S100 runs out :cool:

How come you had time to confirm this when the CMW it's so recent?
