Finally Got To Use Some 1Z PP

Well, finally I got to try this sample I received over a year ago. Goes on real easy with a MF applicator, I tried to apply it very thin. I did two panels at a time, then went back and removed with an MF towel. The MF got stuck in a few spots, but it still is an easy product to remove. The X looks very nice with the 1Z PP on it. One thing I did notice after I finished I washed/rinsed the MF app out. Well, not like VM, EX, #80, Butter Wax or CMW, this product did not cake up under the water while cleaning. Anyone know why? Not as much carnabua? Overall this is a really great product to use. Also, washing, polishing, windows, tires, and exterior trim only took me about 2.5 hours, this is the fastest so far for me.

Glad you like the PP, it doesn't get much mention here these days.

I never noticed any big difference when cleaning PP out of pads, but I wasn't looking for it either. You might want to get some LSP over the PP at the next wash. I find that the waxes in 1Z polishes don't last all that long on their own.

I think most are on a fillerless product kick these days and 1Z is known for its fillers. I have some PP as well and havnt used it yet either, probably because I use Zaino all the time.

Acculmulator,

Thanks for the tip about putting something over it. I have a sample of the new Tropi-Care TC-3, that just might be what I will put on.

I really like PP. I've found that my polishing pads get really dirty using it, moreso than anything else I've used. Just trying to figure out what sealant goes well over it, been using 4* UPP and it seems to work well, though I might pick up some EX-P and give that a try.

Well, I try to mention it every chance I get; it's my favorite! I agree that 1Z polishes don't last long as LSPs, though I find that MP lasts longer than PP. I don't think PP was meant to be one, whereas MP is really a kind of cleaner wax. It also darkens the color (unlike PP)and gives more depth, too.

The only time I really tested the durability of a 1z polish untopped was with WPS and I was pretty disappointed in how long it lasted (don't remember the details but IIRC it sorta dropped off after a few weeks). Heh heh, that MP *better* last for a while now that they're calling it Metallic Polish Wax or whatever the new name is ;)

Intercooled- Yeah, I guess that's it, and I've certainly contibuted my share to the "remove don't hide" side of the argument. I guess that didn't occur to me as I always use other, milder products after PP so its wax/fillers/etc. aren't much of an issue to me. And yeah, I'd use something else before Zaino too (as I do before Klasse).
