Finally got brave and used CG ONE

Figured it's time to be a productive member of Autopia. I had bought CG One a few days before Mothers day and was able to try it out a week later on my friend's car. I had detailed his car previously so I was not too concerned about the level of dirt on the car. I was a little concerned about using it but I figured since he was going to sell the car, it didn't matter.

The process is really as simple as stated. Spray, wait a few seconds, wipe, haze, and wipe/buff.

Final thoughts:

I really do like this product in that it's so easy to use, smells nice and has some "protection" to it. However, I personally would rather use it on a previously detailed car that was only slightly dirty considering how much a container costs. The only issue I had with it was that after the final buffing process, I felt like I was pushing around some of the residue from the wax. I'm not too sure how to describe it other than maybe it might have became like a dried flake of wax that I needed to pick up w/ a fresh towel.

Hope that helps.:xyxthumbs

Great video example of how it works. And I also feel like you definately need a fresh towel

to buff off the haze.........By the way, tell your friend, "bless you". LOL.

According to Paul at CG...ONE will NOT remove your LSP.

Not trying to start a pissing match here , BUT...

The last time I fully detailed my truck , I topped with 845.

Two days later I used ONE on the entire hood (just the hood)

to remove pollen dust and a couple bird bombs.

Within 2 weeks the hood was "flat"...as in no longer beading water,

dust was sticking to it, etc...

The rest of the truck was fine...exhibiting the properties I've

come to expect from 845.

I recleaned the hood and resealed with 845 and problem solved.

I know it's not a lab test , but, EMPIRICALLY, it showed me that ONE stripped my LSP.

Besides, I've cleaned some pretty tough stuff with ONE (wheels , brake dust , etc...)

and I gotta believe with that kind of cleaning power an LSP

doesn't stand a chance.

IIRC, even the bottle notes that ONE contains polish and cleaners...:nixweiss

Hey is CG's order status on their website up to date? do they send you an email when your stuff has been shipped?

I ordered some stuff on Monday, and it has still yet to be shipped according to the website order tracker. No emails from them either.

No pissing match here dude..my bladder is empty. Just repeating what Paul told me when I asked that same question. Figured the guys that make and sale it would know best, right ??

Also, he has taken a swig of the stuff to show its safety, and also has been irrigating a Palm tree that is flourishing. I find it hard to believe anything harsh that would strip LSP off could be consumed or used to water a plant, yes ?

Have not tried it yet, so have no "EMPRIRICAL" study to share. But I will...and soon !

UPDATE: Tried it on 3 cars when I got home..wife car that is always the test bed for new products, our SUV and my work car. This ONE rocks and is very good at removing road oils that may be on the rocker panels. Cleaning aside, the finish it leave is really nice. I did not apply it to my window, but i understand you can. All n all, it took about 40 minutes to wash dry wash the 3 cars with ONE, so I am ordering some more. I am sold. Oh, and the 16oz bottle i filled contains just about 1/3 of a bottle left and completed an SUV and 2 cars. For those arguing the pros or cons due to the cost, seems cheap to me. But thats me, you need to decide.
