Finally got both of ours cleaned up

Its been a while since both of our vehicles have looked this good at the same time.

First up is our 1999 740il, she now has 117k miles. Chris and I did a full rear suspension replacement back in April, sooner or later I will get the front done.

It has been since June of last year that I gave it a full polishing. There are a few spots that have some bird crap etching in the clear. But as usual I don't have time to give it a full polishing. I applied some Blackfire sealant 4 months ago and the level of protection had diminished to a point where it needed something. Blackfire is so easy to use, I can't complain about 4 months of protection.

Sorry no before shots.

I washed the paint with Z7. I'm waiting on some O rings for my PW so no foam shots. :(

Wheels cleaned with MWB 1:4 and some brushes. I'd really like to replace the wheels, but I just put new tires on over the last 6 months.

Tires/wells cleaned with ARO 1:4.

Since its been 14 months since the last polishing. I wanted to do some kind of polishing, but did not have all day to mess around. So I decided to use ZAIO on a white flat classic LC pad with my XPPC. I worked it in a speed 6 over the entire car, then came back to wipe it clean. Needless to say the paint looked much better.

I thought about going staight to one coat of Z5pro, but saw that bottle of Zaino Clear Seal calling to me. I thought it does not get any easier then ZCS, so I applied ZCS to the paint and trim. The temp was in the 80s and the humidity was in the low 70s, but the Clear Seal was still cured in under 15 mins.

I applied Z-16 to the tires while waiting and then finished off the paint with Z8.

A quick vac and interior glass cleaning was all the interior would get today.

My wife had taken the car out after my cleanup, but when she returned the sun was out so I got these pics.

14 months and only some slight wash induced marring?

Next up is my 2007 GMC Denali 1500. It shows 22k miles now and besides for getting a window track lubed and a small recall, I have had no issues with this truck. If I totalled this truck tomorrow I would be at the GMC dealer the next day getting a new one. So yes I still LOVE this truck!!!

A few months ago I got to give it a good exterior cleanup, ZPC polishing and 3x of Z2pro.

Today I gave it a good Z7 wash. Wheels, wells and tires cleaned with ARO 1:4. Applied some Z8 after drying and the tires got Z-16.

I have not done a full interior on her in a while. So that would be my area of concentration today.

I started by doing a full vac. I have some rubber mats in the front so the carpets stay pretty clean.

I then cleaned all the hard surfaces with 1Z einszett Plastic Vinyl Deep Cleaner "Plastik-Reiniger."
The same was protected with 1Z einszett Vinyl-Rubber Care & Protectant "Tiefenpfleger"

I then cleaned the interior glass with the Invisable Glass Reach & Clean Tool & IG.

Leather surfaces cleaned and conditioned with Zaino Z9/10.
All "wood" trim cleaned and protected with ZAIO.

Sorry about the crappy interior pic and not washing the rubber mat. :o

Both of them look stellar. :)

I still love the E38, and yours is probably one of the cleanest on the road today. If I didn't have my Lincoln I would buy one of those in a heartbeat!

Beautiful vehicles, Bryan !!

That Bimmer just looks more and more beautiful every time you post up a picture of it - love that color!! You need some BMW M Parallel Spoke 37 wheels on that E38. Everytime I see one with those wheels it always catches my eye because they look so great ! I have a set of those on our old
'97 540i, and they always make the car look super when they are clean !
The Bimmer wheel catalog says they are available in 8 x 18 front and 9.5 x 18 rear for the 7 Series E38 and cost $746.00 each in the staggered sizes.

Your original 7 Series Cross Spoke composite wheel, bolted, styling 5 wheels cost $665/695 new, and they are a two-piece alloy wheel, bright-turned flange, casting/rolling technology material..

I love the Denali too !! want to get one but they are so expensive here, like in the $50k range, and '08's are still close to $40k even with 20k miles..
If I can ever afford a truck its going to be either the Denali or the Avalanche which would suit me needs better right now..

Thanks for sharing the awesome work you do with us !

Two of my favorite vehicles on the road. For some reason, I'm in love with those 7 Series Bimmers, just love them.

Nice work, they are both beautiful.

I'm just the opposite, I LOVE those BBS spoked wheels. I had those on my 325IX and I hated them at first, but they are a classic. Cleaning them blows, but man, they are sharp when they are clean.

Looking great. As a professional detailer it is sometimes very difficult to keep our own cars clean, sometimes I am embarressed by how my cars come out, although lately I have been doing a better job.

I get disgusted when I look at the current state of my cars. My wife's car needs a 1-step and a wax. My Element needs compounding and polishing on the hood, a 1-step on the rest, and then a wax. My beater car just needs a wash and wax. My 73 Beetle needs wetsanded, compunding, polishing, etc...

I stay so busy with client cars, I just don't have time to mess with my own. It's sad, but maybe I should hire a pro:banghead:???
