Finally got around to detailing my C6

Finally got around to taking care of the car. I took a day off from my full time (I only detail part time) job in order to get this done.

Process was as follows

Wash with Optimum no rinse

Clay w/ Adams clay

Polish via rotary using a green lc pad at 1700 rpm using Menzerna 106FF

Finish polish using PC and grey pad at speed 6 using Menzerna PO85rd.

Seal using Zaino Z5pro zfx'd.

Exhaust tips got clay and Adams 1 & 1 metal polish. Wheels were clayed and then I used Klasse AIO followed by SG.

And now she is back under the cover since the garage door drops water on her when we open and close it.

I know who has the shiniest car in that neighborhood....very nice detail on the vette....nothing like a freshly polished black vette with chromies..

Awesome.... makes me second guess my choice of Machine Silver. Love the Z06 spoiler, too. I think it's a must on the base coupes.

Update...

Added 2 more coats of Z5Pro and the car does not even look black anymore. It seems to be catching the grey from the painted walls in my garage :)

I do have to say though that although I am pleased with Z5 I really seem to be more amazed the way JW AJ layers.

Did you just wait ~24hrs to layer AJ? I have some, yet to be used. Just wondering how long I should wait to layer.:thx

When I use AJ I usually wait about 30min to 2 hrs depending on temp and humidity between the first and the 2nd coat.
