:( Final Update On Optimum Gloss-Coat

Very happy you came out of it okay. Looking forward to the next project and long term review you have for us!

Ouch. Glad to hear you are ok. In the end it's just a car. The important thing is you are ok.

By the way thanks for that last beading shot. Perhaps the folks at the scene thought you hit your head or something getting those beading shots.

Looking forward to seeing what you get next.

Ray, I'm really glad to hear that you are OK. Cars can be replaced. So... we know that Gloss Coat doesn't hold up well against walls and won't keep sheet metal from bending. I'm still thinking this might buff out. ;)

Glad to hear you're alright!

Correct me if I am wrong though... I thought these ceramic coatings would protect against damage like this? You must not have applied enough coats.

Wow Ray that's crazy, glad your ok and nobody was in the car with you.

Well at least you can shop for a new car and test the new optimum gloss coat...

Sad Day for the Red Sable

First, I'm glad to see you survived OK, Ray.
Far better to trash a busted Sable than fix a busted Vega.
I showed your post to a few of my co-workers just to prove I'm not the premier detail geek on the planet.
Taking beading pictures while the car is being winched on the flatbed sets a new high level in reviews!
Best of luck in obtaining a fitting replacement.

Bill

That's a good car that will let you walk away. It did it's job. Cars can be replaced, you can't. Glad you're OK.

Ray !!!!!

Holy Cow !!!

I am so sorry... :( Your Sable was easily the most beautiful one - on the Eastern Seaboard...

But so glad that you are ok..

There must have been oil or something on the road... Dang it...

Its been a beautiful car - I remember back when you first bought it and posted pics of it..

For sure, the Optimum Coating was there and who knows, perhaps someone will be able to resurrect it again...
If they do, you will know it when you see it because it will be BLINDING in the sun.. :)

Glad you are ok...

:wow:Glad your Ok now you`ll have to go and check car out at junkyard to see how results are holding up.....

I've got to go see it tonight to get a few things out of the car. Like a big laundry bag of MF towels :)

That's scary, but it's good to hear you walked away unharmed. I love the dedication getting those final beading shots.

Sorry to hear Ray glad to hear your ok,thinking positive you get to use the gloss coat on a different car once you get it.

Since we know that you're ok and the initial shock is over...............................

Wonder how many people were pissed off that ya blocked the highway.... :D

Glad to hear you are OK. Any idea why you hydroplaned?
Tire dressing overspray? ;) I'm kiddin' you Ray. I know how tough this is. My wife was sitting at a light and had her 7 year old Bonneville t-boned by a Jeep. Dealing with the insurance was a joke. Mine like yours, was as clean as any vehicle in its category. The came back with settlement offers using Buick's as the basis for their offer with the mindset that it was the same car underneath. Haggling to get what it was worth was beyond a joke.
