NOT!
I want to warn everybody about this company and see if anybody has any recommendations for somebody good at repairing leather. I had a blue semi analine leather couch which had a quarter size spot on it and called Fiberenew to come out and fix it. I have seen some companies do some great work on car seats and thought they they would fix it so you could not even see the spot. I should have known when the guy was picking the couch up and drug it across my concrete driveway damaging all 4 legs and the one side of the couch. Two big blue stripes across my driveway. He says "don't wory about it, I'll fix that also. I get the couch back and it looks like they basically spray painted it, it doesn't match and has a ton of dirt and hair in it and overspray everywhere. It even feels like sand paper now. :nixweiss The worst leather work I have seen in my life. To top it off the corporate office's position is they have nothing to do with it.
Now I am guessig I will need to have this piece recovered which will cost me thousands. Basically a $13,000 couch ruined. Yes, that is not a typo. An attorney bought it and basically gave it to us as a gift/severance package since my wife worked for him for 15 years and he is retiring. Needless to say we are sick about it.
Can anybody recommend a "reputable leather repair" company and a good refinisher since I an guessing it will need to be refinished or replaced to be correct again.
Anybody ever had anything like this happen to them? Will homeowners cover it and go after Fibernew or do I need to do this myself.
Thanks for any advice and referrals. Please only refer somebody that you have used and know is good at what they do. Thanks.
