Feynlab Ceramic...

Yep, after getting some help from some of their installers, I skipped the Prime in this case. Next time I use I will use the Prime as a clay lube and not rellay wipe it off from what I`ve gathered. That`ll be interesting from a habit standpoint of usually wiping off the lube.

I washed with a regular auto bathe (Gyeon Bathe in this case); going forward will use Feynlab wash on this car, guess it`s kinda like a Gyeon Bathe+ type of deal.

I kinda got the impression from the Installer Group that the Feynlab Ceramic is kinda meant to stand on it`s own, but what the heck, I`ll give the QD a shot and see if it helps with self-cleaning characteristics after leaving surface with just Ceramic alone for a bit to see how it performs on its own.

Appreciate the info...the one downside to the Feynlab right now is the lack of definitive documentation outside of that likely provided to their certified installers. Hopefully they catch up on that side of things soon as I think their consumer offerings (Ceramic and Ceramic Lite) definitely have promise. I think I`ve got a pretty good handle on things now but it was kinda a piecemeal, `anecdotal evidence` effort to get substantive answers. Their Facebook Authorized Installers group was invaluable with helpful info...good folks for sure.

The ratio for WASH is 1:15 as well which is too low. So vendors in U.K. Are suggesting to do a usual shampoo wash and then have feynlab wash in a pressure spray bottle and spray on surface, use either a mitt or towel to spread and pressure rinse away. Not very convenient I know when other competitive range coating charged shampoos are high dilution.

Coatings supposed to make life easier...ain`t nobody got time for that. Dedicated SiO2 booster makes more sense than above scenario. Did hear a mention somewhere that they were reformulating Wash.

Agreed. Their QD makes more sense.

How much of ceramic did you use to coat the car ?

Probably about 20-25ml to do 2 coats. Hard to tell cuz ya can`t see in the bottle; aluminium or something. Probably ovrrapplied at first; the larger orifice in the dropper top kinda surprised me every now and again.

When I go to their site, Ceramic no longer shows up. The self healing products don`t either.
I assume this is because they are Certified Products only?
If you are Certified, what is the certification process?
Or, if I register, will that make the products appear?

Register with the website and Ceramic will be visible with the option to buy it while the coatings above this will require certification.

Thanks...took a bit but figrd it out, ordered and applied to car. Talked to area rep a bit last Friday...nice folks. Gotta get the hookup for Top Coat as that is apparently formulated to aid in sheeting/self cleaning.

I can attest that Top Coat is phenomenal! Used it as a topper to Ceramic Plus and the slickness was off the charts! Ceramic Plus by itself is fairly "grabby" so using Top Coat is almost necessary (at least from what my customers have come to expect).

Yep...the one aspect of Ceramic (applied 2 weeks ago) that is slightly unfortunate so far is that it does seem to retain/hold onto beads (water spots) on our black car just a bit and leave a (easily removed) spot. Rain at 1pm, blazing sun for the next 5 hours on stationary vehicle leaves enough behind that I wanna wash.

I`d guess Top Coat would go a long way towards eliminating that. My A#1 coating favorite holds that position because of its remarkable ability to always appear pretty clean...albeit at higher cost/effort.

Feynlab nipping at its heels though in cost, appearance and ease of application.

I`d love to know more about this Top Coat - and hopefully us regular folk can get it. I guess it`s like their `EXO over CSL` type product.

I agree about your A#1 - it works so well in that aspect which should be the top aim of all coatings besides longevity.

When you say Top coat, do you mean their FeynLab QD?

What is your A#1 coating?

In the meantime, I believe `richy` has a post here that shows him using ceramic lite over ceramic, which has made it slick and a tad glossier. Feynlab also suggests this on their site.

got a hold of some feyn cut (compound) today and it`s good stuff. apparently it`s in beta stages and not available yet? anyone else tried it?
