Ferrari F430 Spider Paint Correction and Detail

Wow! Amazing work :bigups Do you put any pressure down on the 3" GG? I have a 3"GG and if I put the slightest pressure down it stops spinning. I also tried the 3" on my GG6 on speed 4 and it tore the pad up.

The dark knight rises huh:rockon

Very nice work Todd!

Thanks Dave!!!

Epic! You killed that Todd!!! :yourrock

P.S. Why you always gotta remind me to try harder!!!!

Stop making me feel good about myself Joe! :yourrock

Looks awesome, Great work Todd! Love the way the exhaust came out.

Thank you. Rough cast metals can be a huge pain to clean because if you use something too abrasive they get shiny. I have had good experience with the powdered polishing soaps (good luck with P21s as well) or using fine steel wool.

Stunning as always Todd !!!! I have missed seeing your work !!

Every once and a while you have to dust off the ol' polisher and show these whipper snappers how to do this... maybe... Thanks for the compliment buddy :)

Looks Great! Fantastic job Todd

Thank you :)

Beautiful work!

Thank you very much!

i hope you took it out for the required test ride to make sure the finish had the proper reduction in the coefficient of drag.(to meet the ferrari standards of course.) :bigups

Of course, to not to would be uncivilized :)

First of all awesome job Todd. Very impressive!

I got to kid with you a little bit though, I got a kick out of the before pic being up close and the after pic being much further away. :rofl

Oh man, I thought we banned these types of posts when you where the moderator?!!!! I was just trying to show more of the beauty of the Ferrari!

i may have to use my current credit card for this after all these holiday sales its gonna be kaput. :)

not complaining though

Finally, a detailing tool that pays for itself.

Todd, what can I say? You're the effing MAN! :yourrock

I thoroughly enjoy looking at your work, and your write-ups are, well, legend... wait for it... dairy.... LEGENDARY! :rockon

Thank you very much, thats very humbling :)

Hey Todd, you asked for Comments? Here is one -WEAR GLOVES AT LEAST WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING WHEELS/WHEEL WELLS!!!!!! PLEASE???????????? :welcome:

Otherwise, excellent work as always.:yourrock:yourrock:yourrock

You bring up an excellent point Mr. DeKany. I wear gloves 90% of the time when dealing with any cleaning chemical. If its on your skin, its in you. I will, as somebody who prides himself on doing things the right way, increase this percentage to 100%.

Thank you for the compliments :)

It doesn't get better than that..excellent work and writeup Todd.

Thank you so much!

Thanks Ron!

I always enjoy viewing the work of a true Master and you are indeed that.

Thank you, I am humbled.

Wow! Amazing work :bigups Do you put any pressure down on the 3" GG? I have a 3"GG and if I put the slightest pressure down it stops spinning. I also tried the 3" on my GG6 on speed 4 and it tore the pad up.

Yes, I use enough pressure to firmly plant the pad against the paint. I have found that GG 3", likely because of the short 3/16 stroke, prefers lighter pressure and more pad movement for better results.

Nice job as always Todd. Keep up the good work !!

Thanks Trouble :)

Very nice work! I am working on a scuderia as I read this!

Awesome, I'm checking out the results now!

Very nice todd i love your choice of polishers FLEX FTW!
awesome color to work on and great results.
imma look into sonus engine dressing you used

I love me some FLEX's.

very nice work

i would be willing to bet that car never looked as good (other than the previous times you detailed it, of course) :)

so the sonus trim and motor kote dries like the final picture? or did you have to wipe any after the sitting time you referred to

Thank you.

Since you both asked about the Sonus, here are a couple links to writeups on this forum about it. I love it!

Sonus Trim and Motor Kote Review - Todd Helme

Sonus Trim and Motor Kote - TLC Detail - Flannigan

Please read Dave (Flannigan)'s excellent how to and review. His was the write up that really got me into the amazing product.

Todd, all things being equal, do you think WGUC can finish just as good as Blackfire SRC Compound?

Great work Todd, glad to see you posting write ups again but I love your how-to's more. Their ACE!

Thank you so much :)

Such a man!!!! :yourrock

Great job!!! :rockon

Would you say WGUC has as much cut as M105?

Todd, all things being equal, do you think WGUC can finish just as good as Blackfire SRC Compound?

WGUC has SLIGHLY less than M105 IME, but is much easier to use and finishes even better. Yes, WGUC will finish as well as BLACKFIRE SRC Compound in most cases.
