Ferrari and Shell

Here's a Shell commercial shown in Europe. They're selling gasoline, but the cars used in the video steal the show.
Ferrari pulled several of their race cars from various ages out of storage, flew them around the world and filmed them running through the streets of Rome, Rio, New York, Hong Kong, Honolulu and Monaco. No CGI here - these are the original cars on the original streets.
The best part is the sound.
It starts with the basso-profundo notes of the early, front-engine era which are favorites, then each scene cuts to a later generation, ending with the high pitched, high RPM wail of a modern F1 car.
The sounds alone bring a tear to the eye.
Even if you're not a gear head, this video will stir the soul.
There's just something about 3 liters @ 14,000 RPM!

Thank you so much, TropicSteve !!!

I loved this ! The last scenes with the F-1 car are in Monaco I believe, where they will be racing later this year. These guys rev to 19,000 rpm now and are somewhere between 7-900 hp out of a 2.5 liter V8. A few years ago when F1 ran V10's I got to see them race at INDY, before they opted out of using it again. Unbelieveable ! Shared the same Hotel with the entire Red Bull Team - wow - partied constantly when not racing!

They just raced yesterday in Barcelona (Catalunya) and Ferrari with Spaniard driver, Fernando Alsonso took 1st place, and the the other Ferrari driver Felipe Massa took 3rd !

Love the sound ! The 2 red Ferrari's I Detail yearly are older but wow, that sound is always there !!! I can understand why so many people buy these cars !
