Which is the correct 6" velcro backing pad to get for the Porter Cable buffer (Standard(flat) or contour)?

I think you just need the flat one.

THE MISSION: remove wetsand marks, buffer marks /light holograms , improve exterior appearance.

Material used in correction:
- red cutting pad meg with meg 105 on flex da - 2 passes on wetsand areas , removed with mineral spirits
- green LC light cutting pad with optimum hyper compound on flex da, removed with IPA
- 3m ultrafina on 3m blue pad with flex da , removed with ipa.
- 2 coats of opti-seal

usually the new ferrari comes with a lot of haze and holograms , this time wetsand.
i think in production line the quality control on paint finish is missing :White Horse:

thank you , in the shade the car looks black , in full sun is kind of flat blue (no metalic in this paint)
