Fenderwell dressing? What's out there?

Once clean I use Stoner's More Shine Less Time on the wells. This should be done prior to any other work since it contains silicone(s). It will fish eye a completed paint finish. It's easily wiped off but why do so if you don't have to.

The same product works well on engines also. Again, do the wheel wells and engine first to avoid an additional wipedown on the painted surfaces from overspray. Twelve can case is less than $40 direct from Stoners. Other than learning the hard way about the fish eye I've seen zero negatives since starting its use in 1996.

For .99cents/can

going to purchase a case or two at that price. Excellent for fenderwells, engine compartments.

Do not like the overspray when used on tires.

99 cents.........? It's actually a little under $3.00 per can with a case purchase and a $5.00 off coupon available on their site.

Standard Wheel Well process: performed on every detail.

- Pressure wash with black and decker

- Spray down with meguiars wheel brightener - 3:1

- Agitate with respective brushes

- Pressure wash again with B&D

- Spray down thoroughly with meguiars wheel brightener, do not wipe, let sit.

If wheel wells are needing a big spruce up I pull of the wheels, degrease, then respray with duplicolor undercoaint. I got it at napa and it works excellent. I like to let it dry for at least an hour before I dress it but the longer I can wait the better I feel about dressing it.

hope that helps!

If dirty fender wells bother you on your personal vehicle, try this:

1. spray degreaser in well

2. pressure wash

3. scuff with grey scuff pad

4. mask off fender lip

5. spray black lacquer in an aerosol

Takes about 10 min. a wheel well, and looks TERRIFIC.

10 minutes? Just getting it to dry around here would take 30 minutes. Other than the time factor it looks like a great process. I might have to try it! :D
