Fender Mats

Hey guys, Im in need of some help.

What do you guys use for Fender Mats/covers? What do they use on high-end cars?

What is the best possible cover/process for not hurting the paint as far as the front fenders?

I try to do all my work myself so my paint doesn't get touched. But what do I do if I have to take my truck in somewhere? Mechanics do not care and will scratch the s**t out of my fenders. I wont tolerate it. I've looked around and I can't find anything. I'm almost positive you guys at Autopia can figure out something, so here I am.

Here is several things I thought of.

1) Should I tape the Fender with painters tape?

2) Should I ONR the fenders, Take Some EUROW Microfibers and tape them on, Then Take some Towel Microfibers and tape one over the Eurow's, Then Put a fender cover on?

3) ???

Here is a LINK to some fender covers from Snapon

I don't like the thought of covering my paint with anything, but I understand at times (like with you) it's mandatory. I'd apply some fresh wax/sealant to the panels around the hood and secure(with painters tape) some heavy mil plastic or some soft towels(or both). I'd prefer something that doesn't move around. If you use one of those fender covers and the tech makes it fall to the ground he'll just end up reinstalling it. Even if it's dirty.
