Feeling Better/Happy New Year

I'm glad to report that today I actually feel good enough to spend a little time on the forum. I got a new knee not quite two weeks ago and though I have done pretty well, it amazes me how I just haven't felt like spending time on-line. It's nice to have something to come back to and see everyone in their expected places.:yourrock

I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year. Be smart tonight and stay off of the roads if you can at all help it. There are a lot of less than concerned citizens out there just positioning themselves to mess up your shiny cars and your new year.

Glad to hear you are doing well GH! I didn't know you were getting a new knee. Ouch!

Happy New Year to you as well and a speedy recovery!

Thank you! It's getting to be a little "old hat" here. I had this same knee replaced in March 2008 with one update surgery in August between the two replacements. I truly am hoping for a speedy recovery.

Dauum this post is not what I like to read.
Currently I'm scheduled to have eye surgery on both eyes then disc's replaced in my back and then knee surgery and after that prostrate surgery.
If I have to have my knee done three times I don't know when we will find time for more surgery's :wall

This post rings all too true. I like you, need a couple of different procedures performed. I need a second knee and a shoulder replaced. I've been told this by multiple doctors for years. I've had the back fusion previously performed and it's fine. Every time they x-ray my knees they do a comparative shot left to right. They always ask me how my natural knee feels (the knee cap sits way off to the side and the joint spacing is non-existent) it is quite apparent that all is not well. I give them an honest answer, it doesn't feel well in fact it really hurts but I can't even think of having it fixed until they can show me they can get the first one right. It also falls second in line to the need for a good shoulder. I can't lift a gallon of milk in front of me with the one I have. Think 7 - 8 pounds or roughly the weight of a polisher. Now you have a better idea my priorities. :D

Darn, Gear! I don't know where to begin with you so I'll just say I hope this New Year goes well for you and that you're as painfree as possible. Hang in there man.:passout:

I would like to wish Gearhead & Black Bard a speedy recovery and HAPPY NEW YEAR:bigups
