FD failed me today

My favorite QD, FD let me down today.

I was wiping down a vehicle when my spray bottles clogged, then spit out some orange chunks that looked like pureed carrot. I swirled the bottle and shook it up and the orange pieces seemed to dissolve, but they came back. Wiping the orange residue smeared … it wasn’t a pretty picture.

Anyone else have a similar experience with FD?

The closest thing I have to that is an orange ring around the top of the gallon bottle (from day one--warehouse settling, I assume). Shaking doesn't break it up and I've never had any problems with the miracle qd'er.

When my FD froze this winter thats what it looked like. I put that bottle to the side and only used it on my girlfriends car, yea I know, thats why im single.

All and all I cant say the freeze did anything because it still looked great when applied.........

Mine has never froze. I live in New Orleans.

Funny thing is I've used that bottle several times without problems, and I had used it that same day without problems.:nixweiss

wonder what it is...carnuba hardening?? i'm about to purchase a gallon of FD and FI. might need to consider this.

can't lose with FD. never had any problems with it so far. it really is an excellent QD. the slickness is unbelievable and leaves behind a noticable gloss.

Ive had this happened with another brand of qd. Borrow some panty hose from your wife and use that to filter the FD. Put the liquid back in the spray bottle and spray away.

I brought my gallon last September 03. Still have 3/4 left in original container and separate applicator spray bottle. My detailing suppliers are always kept in temperature controlled room (I do not detail on the road). Never had a problem with this wonderful product.
