Favorite QD?

Just did a "head to head" if you will, of #34 vs. Pinnacle Crystal Mist.



There was no competition. It was like Erkle vs. Shaq in one on one.



The Crystal Mist is MUCH thicker, goes on and STAYS more easily, unlike the #34 which seems to get simply absorbed by the MF, and kind of moved around. Granted they are different in that Crystal Mist is a Carnauba QD.



The Crystal Mist seemed to dramatically darken the paint, making it look deeper- which on my black metallic car is a good thing.

I was using them both over a recent application of P21S.



Yes, the Crystal Mist is 3-4x more expensive. But I'm sold on it nevertheless.
 
For a dark colored car Crystal Mist really does add to the depth of the paint! :xyxthumbs Even though it is more expensive, you have to try it at least once if you have carnauba on your car.

Right now I have nine different bottles of QD on the shelf.



IMO, they all do a good job and I still have semi-full bottles of all of them. They each have their merits and none of them fail to make my car shine. I like switching between them on different days.



A favorite? I have to take the same approach I do with rollercoasters.



When it's a great coaster...it's a great coaster. It reaches a level that makes it worth riding again and again. It makes my hall of fame and becomes the source of raves and recommendations from me...but I can't pick just one and say it's the best. There are several in my hall of fame.



I just picked up some Eimann Fabrik Clear Pearl that I'm looking forward to trying. I guess I'll have to buy and try ClearKote, too.
 
Used my EFCP today and i ove it, used it over the top of P21s and it looked great, i love it. Still getting some quikshine though!
 
I know what you guys mean by an abundance of QD. I still have like 8 bottles of Meg FI that I got when Pep Boys was clearing it out.



I also have Griots SS, EOWS, Auto Magic Magic Mist, etc. I am dying to try some Quickshine after reading Scottwax's rave reviews or maybe some Pinnacle Crystal Mist...



GRRRRRR decisions decisions...

has anyone used the Coat's product : Miracle mist QD?



it seems like its thicker than the Megs QD, and it smells really good, but was just weighing my options...i bought it for 6.00 out the door in cali vs. 3.99 for Megs out the door........

Eagle W & S, Sonus, Pinnacle Crystal Mist.



The W & S worked well helping remove the SG residue, but then I used the Sonus and it's even better. And before the carnauba application, the Sonus looks terrific on top of SG.

But the only way to improve the AIO, 4 X SG, 2 X Souveran, is to detail with the Crystal Mist.

Pinnacle Crystal Mist is simply amazing stuff.
