Favorite QD?

Been using OGSO for maintaining Souveran - it's easy to use, doesn't streak and looks great. Also, it doesn't attract dust like another OG product, Blitz wax. Pinnacle Crystal Mist provides a nice look too, but seems harder to apply/spread than OGSO.

Didn't mention this before because I know there are a lot of PCM users, but I wholeheartedly agree!! While PCM seems to have a pretty high carnauba content and does a great job in rejuvinating a carnauba'd paint finish, I found it to be a bit streaky (same goes for EFCP) in comparison to OGSO. Plus, although the scent is nice, it's a bit overpowering (sort of like it's price-tag!). I found OGSO a bit easier to work with than most other QD's and I can get it locally by the gallon. Can't wait to try SS though!

Z6 on the Zaino. Crystal Mist on carnauba. Want to try the Platinum QD, and the ClearKote though!

Pinnacle Crystal Mist on the (Sourveran or P21S) carnauba - i use it liberally and wipe it well.

Eagle One Wet W&S to remove Klasse SG. FWIW - All recommended to me by the helpful folks here...:xyxthumbs

I qd every day. As I've posted before, it's like adding a microlayer of carnuba every day. Through the week I use EFCP and on the weekends I use PCM.Of course all done with a mf.

Since I already have Klasse ,2x AIO, 6 SG with s100 for the winter, the daily qd keeps my silver SC2 glistening. Many compliments atv work. I should say I do use the Cali Duster before qd.

I just bought some new stuff at Wally Sunday,Back Magic and wow this stuff is incredible...wet, wet deep shine. No Idea what's it, but man does it shine. Anyone else tried it?

Eimann Fabrik Clear Pearl is still my favorite for a carnuba and Z6 is fantastic for Zaino or sealants.

On carnauba - Pinnacle CM,Quik Shine, Speed Shine, EFCP in that order

On sealants - Quik Shine, Z-6 or Platinum QD

PS.

Recent discovery...Platinum QD...Incredible...

Clearkote's Quikshine. In the shade or in the sun, it works great!Super slick and adds noticable gloss to cars whose wax is near the end of it's useful life.

Great on the windshield, too. Beads up water better than Rain X and it lasts longer, too.

Eagle one wet w&s will REMOVE Klasse SG??? I was planning on QD'ing with EO Wet wipe & shine between layers of KSG....Is this not a good idea? If not, which type of QD can I use between layers of KSG that WONT remove it??

My favs are:

Megs#34, EOWS, Griots SS..and I recently tried some of the Auto Magic Magic Mist (Carnuaba based). It works great and is very inexpensive.

He means he uses it to aid in buffing the KSG "haze" or "indicator" after applying it.

Exactly - I just use EO to aid in the buffing after application. Makes it easier and no worries about haze or residue. It does not remove SG. Sorry for the poor word choice...:)

Im am new to this board and i just wanted to put in my .02 I think EAGLE ONE WIPE AND SHINE workes the best for me I have a dark green car and it leaves a hell of a shine I use VIVA paper towels to wipe it of They are the softist paper towels out their THEY DO NOT SCRATCH AT ALL

Clear Pearl for carnuba finishes and it seems to me that the Zaino QD works best for the poly finishes. Auto Magic's, I think it's "Magic Mist" is not bad either but does not seem to spread as easily as the Clear Pearl.

I am waiting to recieve the QD's from Platinum and BlackFire.

Once again, IMHO, Scottwax is right on. Last night driving in the rain, I didn't even need to turn on the windshield wipers, the water just beaded off at 70 MPH, it was great. I'm getting tired of bowing down but our autopian brother is the detailing Guru.:bow :bow :bow

Most paper towels have polyester fibers in their construction to provide strength ( not microfied) which can possibly be harmful to you paint. In time the undetected micro-marring will rear its ugly head. Try a MF or at least 100% white USA cotton towel for Qd'ing.:wavey

BlkZ28 is right.

Paper towels, (or any paper) is made from trees.

Trees are WOOD.....

IT WILL SCTATCH.........

You may not see it right away.....but use it enough and things will be getting dull looking.

(Unless you were pulling our leg. If that's the case....you got us.)

Actually cellulose ( major component of not only wood but also cotton) can be made to be very paint friendly. Actually one of our better "naturally derived" MF is made from microfiberized cellulose - DF Towels ( the softest MF I have used and tested). So cellulose is not bad in itself but it processing ( to paper towels or to microfibers) will determine its paint friendliness and detailing value.:xyxthumbs

I agree. I use Clear Pearl for my car with S100 topped Klasse. For just SG Sonus is a good choice, this may aslo be good for Platinum and Blackfire. And of course Zaino for Zaino.
