Favorite Microfiber qd towel

Just wondering what to use as a microfiber quick detail towel. What are you guys using? I've heard that a velvet smooth one would be good and I've also heard a plush one would be good.

I don't doubt the quality of Ranney's towels. There seems to be no end to the good reviews of all of his products. Unfortunately, I don't have any of this towels....yet ;)

From my towel stash, I can't praise Ian's (Autofiber/MicrofiberTech) Elite towel enough for QD duty. Beautifully robust and plush :up :up

The Kahki towel offered by DavidB while not nearly as plush (by design) as the Elite towel also performs quite well as a QD towel.

OK, twist my arm, Patrick's (exceldetail) towels would work just fine.

Do you see a trend here? We are extremely lucky to have an excellent choice of quality MF products from some very good vendors.

Those PakShak yellow towels are unbelievable. Ranney is the man......he is the absolute epitome of classy, professional customer service.

Depending on QD....

Pakshak: Ultra Fine Yellow or White

DF Towels: White Natural

Sonus: Der Buffing one, gold in color, very plush

Autopia: CBT

All depends on type of QD (wax/silicone/polymer etc) and what's on the finish. Some towels are so soft they are hard to control as they slide around and can end up on the ground. Others have a thick nap soft, yet easy to control. It also has to do with towel size.

I have ExcelDetail MF's but the edgeless, deeper yellow/gold ones that have a short nap. Those are used for polish/wax removal as they have a perfect nap for removal. Nice and short. I've been giving these away to my neighbors who just kill me when they use some cheap towels over and over again. Just trying to educate these poor people.

I use the CMA magic towel for all my final work either LSP removal or QD. They are very soft towels

I almost always use my PakShak Ultra Fine Yellow MFs for QD work, especially with Sonus Acrylic Spritz on a finish treated with Klasse twins. They work extremely well with all QDs though. Can't say enough good things about the towels or Ranney's service. :bow

I have been using the Elite towels from Autofiber. Thery are AWSOME. A couple of shots of QD and off to the races. The Pro towesl are also very nice. I like those for QEW.

I really like PB Mega Plush Towels (think thats what it is called) The really plush blue one. Only problem I have is that the edges are fraying after only 2-3 washes

How is the quality of exceldetail towels?

I have what you might consider the "standard" excel towels in blue. They are what I grab *every* time for removal of carnauba, as they have a little more bite while still being extremely soft.

Haven't used any of his others.

I use Pakshak's ultra-fines or CMA's Magic Towel. I QD in between washes as well as after washing. Does anyone use a different type of towel for each purpose? Didn't know if it mattered.

PakShak Ultra Fine Yellow and Autofiber's Elite are the best of my stash of towels. JTinternationals 15x15 MF's are up there as well

The standard Autofiber towels work well. I haven't tried any of Ranney's new towels yet. Maybe I should give him a call.
