Favorite Finishing Polish almost out, what are you using that you love ?

I used CG V38 again tonight on my hood(had some marring and waterspots that were really bugging me)and absolutely love it. Decent scent, good working time, absolutely ZERO dust(which, in my opinion is critical of a polish. I don't want to risk marring my freshly polished paint with polish dust)and finished down really well, even on my tinted clear Acura paint(which is so soft I'm almost convinced it just never actually dried all the way lol!)

I've always liked M205.

Ultimate Polish has been my favorite for a while though.

Menz SF4000, and Rupes Keramik round out the others I use.

I've been using CG's V36 & V38, for the no dusting factor plus a 1-2 punch finish down to a mirror shine.
I blew thru them so now I have Rupes Keramik , Optimum ll with Optimum Finish and just ordered HD polish+
Be using them on a Gold metal flake '11 Toyota sedan that needs compounding first for deep pitting on hood & doors. FUN

looks like most of us are using HD Polish+..

i dont know if i should start a new thread or not but im interested to see what everyone's technique for using HD Polish...

I normally go with a orange or white buff and shine pad

I prime with 5 dots on a new pad and use 3 dots after its primed, i dont mist the pad with any detail spray or water

anywhere from 2-5 passes seem to be the sweet spot for me, again i dont mist the panel with water or anything to keep it working. it has long work time for me and hardly dries out

i wipe with a MF towel, i like short nap towels because HD Polish tends to be a little oily and short naps pick up the oil easier (IMO). sometimes I do like to wipe with a very lightly damp towel and come back with a dry towel

washing out HD polish of pads is easy, i just throw it in a bucket of water w/ snappy clean and rinse the pad out after it soaks for 20-30mins

I threw out ALL my finishing polishes after the first few minutes using HD polish. It's that good. However I'm curious about trying the AAT finishing polish as its supposed to work faster and finish down better with no dust and less oily.

.

Pretty much how I work it. great stuff

Use basically the same technique as donbreezy, but prefer a medium nap MF towel for removal. Never experienced the oily problem.
