Favorite Car in TV Series/Movie

Thanks Prinz. I was getting a smidge worried that our fellow Autopians were not as car savvy as I thought. But you bailed us out. Except for one thing - - what Ferrari 456 in "Ronin"? I've got it on DVD and watch it 3-4 times a month and don't recall a 456.

Ok, here are my faves starting with Numero Uno:

Here's Numero Dos:

And Numero Tres:

Bonus points for all who can tell me not only the movies but the exact car and driver.

Bret,

Remember the scene when they get to the hotel in Nice. There is a navy blue car that pulls off. That navy blue car is a Ferrari 456 GT (or GTA). The 456 has the distinction of being the first car by Ferrari to have an automatic tranny (Hence the GTA designation). The 456 is technically a 2+2.

Judging by the file names, I can tell that 2 of the movies are Mad Max and Vanishing Point. Who drove what? I have no idea. :D

Oh yeah, I have some more to add to the list.

- The Chevy Stepside Pickup in "The Driver"
- The Jaguar XJS in "Speed"
- The '64 Impala in "Set It Off"
- The A-Team's GMC Van
- The Dodge Monaco in the Blues Brothers (The last of the "real" cop cars before the '94-'96 Caprice 9C1 and the '87-93 SS4 Mustang)
- The '55 Mercury in "Cobra"
- Any of Boyd Coddington's creations (Mostly featured in ZZ Top Videos)

<strong class='bbc'>Prinz[/b] - You are 100% correct, thanks for the memory jog. There certainly is a 456 in front of the hotel in France. Excellent.

<strong class='bbc'>Dean[/b] - Dang, that was cheatin';) Pic #1 is indeed Mad Max and pic #3 is Vanishing Point. Pic #2 anyone?

<strong class='bbc'>I'd have to say the Ferrari in "The Rock." Pretty cool when it gets smashed by the trolley. [/b]</blockquote>
That F355 kit car(almost 99%positive) was tight...I shuddered when it hit the tolley though!

I also like the General Lee. I saw one of the last remaining vehicles in a museum in the middle of South Dakota. Very interesting that it didnt' have very many dents, if any that i recall. I assume it was the final General Lee before the series died off.

was it that one or the charger from S&H that had the gas tank on the drivers side rear...near the trunk and where the rear window meet....with the silver flip top gas tank....i remember you had to hit the little switch on top of it and it would flip the lid open.....cool gizmo when your a kid....anybody else remember when everybodys gas cap was under the rear license plate....and you had to screw that sucker off like a mother to open it....im old.........

Actually, it was the mid-60's Chargers that had the fuel cap in question. The S&H car isn't a Charger but a '75-'76 Ford Torino.
