Fantasy Football?

Nice password by the way.

I thought you would like it.:D

I sure hope the chat room works for us. If you haven't used the chat room before. Go in there ahead of time and get familiar with it. The settings can be a little confusing.

Show up at 9ET in the chatroom for the draft. You have to pick your team before you can choose your lineup.

I am at lackland air force base at this very moment. My appointment has been re-scheduled for 2:30 pm. Now I am worried about traffic on the return trip. I may have to pull over to the side of the road and use my IPod to be in on the draft.

Unless I crash i will be online at draft time.

OK, for those of you do not know how to play go to FOX Sports on MSN - Fantasy Football Draft Guide - What is fantasy football?

Print this list of players; FOX Sports on MSN - Fantasy Football Draft Guide - FOX rankings: Overall

Our league will be on Yahoo which has cheat sheets and info there too, but I think Fox is better to learn from.

Each league rules are different so this is how we play.

In our league we will draft 14 players and will be able to have a total of 20 players on each team.

Each week you will be able to use 10 guys from your team (starters). The other 10 are your bench warmers (They cannot score for you that week).

Only a certain number of players from each position can play for that week.

You will be able to play

1 QB (Quarterback)
2 WR (Wide Receivers)
2 RB (Running Backs)
1 TE (Tight End)
3 WR/RB (can be RB or WR)
1 DEF (Defense)

Now you know more than I did when I entered my first draft.

Tips for the draft.

Everyone needs to have a printed list of players (cheat sheet). Make sure you have at least 200 player's names in front of you because we will be picking 140 players at the draft.

Every time someone picks a player you mark him off your list. Then when it's time for you to pick you will know who's still available.

Some leagues include kickers, but we won't be.

One more thing to note, In fantasy football, an entire defense counts as one player in your league. So whatever the defense does as a whole effects your points.

Wanted to repost this to make sure everyone saw it and has this list of players in front of them for the draft tonight. Show up a little early if you can I would like to start picking players at 9.

Dude, that is way too many position players. Plus, you don;'t have any kickers. Typically, a lineup consists of

1 QB, 1 RB
1 RB/WR (your choice)
2 WR
1 TE
1 K
1 Def

Having 7 RB/WR is friggin' insane. That's 70 starters alone to draft, not to mention bench players. 10 Bench spots is also crazy. Most FFL rosters are 16 players total. This league will be 20 players per team. It's just way to big. I've never seen any league with this set-up. It's not going to be an easy draft for anyone new to the game.

I guess I should've taken a deeper look at the rules and been able to offer some advice from experience.

How many rounds is this draft?

I have been doing this for a while and we usually have

1 QB
2 RB's
2 WR's
1 TE
1 K
1 Def
1 Flex...Flex being either a RB and or a WR.

Been playing it this way for a couple years now and we all seem to like it. Let's just do the draft now and we can vote on starting positions later. We will be drafting 14 players tonight.
