I've got a 1987 Mercury Cougar that I purchased about five years ago with only 37,000 miles on it. It's got the cabriolet red paint that the previous owner really didn't take good care of. It's kind of faded etc. I can make the car look like a million dollars by using a cleaner wax followed by a glaze sealer, followed by a polish, and finally followed by a carnuba wax. The car looks better than it did in the show room. The only thing is it doesn't seem to last very long. I've been using meguirs and mothers products. If it rains I have to almost start all over again. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use? I use Zaino on my corvette and rendezvous but I'm not sure if it would help me here or not. It seems like the red fades pretty fast.
