I recently received some Pinnacle Paste Glaz from a member of this board (who remain annonymous unless they say it is okay to mention their name).

Initial impressions:

I opened the container and the smell hit me right away-very tropical. The appearance of the wax is very similar to Meguiars Deep Crystal Paste Wax (which is the only halfway decent burgandy bottle product other than the QD).

I had just washed and waxed my car (Meguiars #26) but with all the rain we've had, I figured another coat of wax certainly couldn't hurt, so I grabbed a foam hand applicator and got to work. I could not get over how easy it was to apply-seems to glide on with almost an oily feeling-real slick). I covered my entire car, then buffed off the excess. It came off just as easily as it went on. I don't remember using a wax that was so easy to remove-just wiped right off. I also tested their claim that you don't have to let the wax haze before removing, and it also passed that test.

I put some on my black plastic mirrors and it also shined them up real nice. My first overall impressions are very good. Easy on and off with no streaking, even though it was in the mid 40s and near sundown when I used it. The shine is what you would expect from a quality carnuba wax-but it was dusk when I finished, so I will be looking again in the morning.

I have a Mercedes SL500 to detail in the morning (it is for sale, btw-1997 40th anniversary edition with 6 spoke 17" wheels and only 11,000 miles on it). I will let y'all know how it turns out.

Great, yeah this wax is a dream to use, but doesn't last that long. But its so easy to use, frequent waxings won't be a pain.

I think the PPG offers shine and a little bit of depth, but Souveran offers that special something. So if $$ is tight, I would go with PPG or blitz.............

Thanks for the review,

Jason

<strong class='bbc'>Seems like PPG would be good to layer on top of a polymer wax, like Meguiars #20. [/b]</blockquote>
I've actually tried it over #20. I prefer it on Klasse but it looked pretty good on the #20. I did it on a white Dodge Intrepid and while it wasn't as blindingly white as mine (with a hundred thousand layers of Klasse) it was very shiney and had a nice glow.

PPG looked real nice on a Mercedes SL500 (burgandy)-real wet looking, but I have been taking care of this car since it was brand new, and have waxed it with Meguiars #26 about every two months.

I also used it on a silver Pontiac Bonneville-very wet look. Also looks real good on mine, but I am totally anal about mine-wax every 4-6 weeks and polish with Meguiars Hand Polish every other time I wax.

I also plan on trying Klasse and maybe P21S-mostly as a higher cost option to my customers of luxury cars who like to get them waxed often. Not that I am not happy with Meguiars, because I am-I have yet to find surface prep products that are their equal, but if I can make a luxury or exotic car owner happy by putting a high $$$ wax on their car (so they can tell their friends at the country club), it just makes good business sense.

Now there's a man with his head screwed on straight.:up :up

Scottwax, I'm glad you like the PPG. It is easily the most user-friendly (& pleasantly scented) wax I've ever used. Second easiest would be Souveran. Both waxes would really impress your country-club clientele. :)

Just have to look for the Rolex. Then I know they don't mind overpaying for perceived quality--but then again, high end waxes are usually pretty good anyway, but IMO just not enough to warrant the cost, especially in light of the quality of Meguiars pro lines.

Ferrari F1

the cars was at some event , i was asked to give them a refresh , wipe down , and wax
exterior is beat up, needs a lot of work , but the engine is what matters on those cars.

Ok, that's it! Ive got my new goal! I want to do a F1 car!

if they keep it in the showroom for longer i may ask for some polish on it , a lot of stickers and probably some small pads are needed.
i may upload some pic with the engine , the whole rear fairing was off today. i took some pic , but are in the camera.
