I'd call the DOD and ask for a "Up-Armour" kit like they outfit the HumVee's in Bagdad.
Includes steel plating for the most of the vehicle. No dings and bulletproof for those drives through the hood.
Then get some touch up Desert camo paint.
Seriously.
Good thing no one got hurt.
I've been there dude.
My wife was driving to work one morning and a big truck kicked up a 4 x 4 x 20" piece of wood at my previous Caravan.
Detroyed the front driver side headlight, deep scratch's in the bumper and bounced over the top.
Another foot lower and it would have hit her in the window.
Of course that Van was in great shape, a few dings, but no rust, put had 85k on it and it looked new. Most 1990 Caravans were rust buckets.
It's seems like its always the well kept car that gets dinged or hammered one way or another. Maybe because its more visable from being kept clean ?
I think you should replace the hood.
Good luck working that out with your insurance company. Hope they take care of it.
