I saw you on DB too, but anyways... You should look into the Raceglaze XL Brush. I'll actually post a "true" picture of it here when I get it. I heard its durable and great for wheel barrels, and the cost I say is very reasonable at $20, I paid $16 as there was a sale.

With these type of brushes I would be more worried with the metal spine coming in contact with the wheel then I would the tip. The tip is blunt so if used properly it shouldn't come in contact with the wheel.
