If all else fails then get a carpet knife and cut that portion out and put a plant over the hole or something similar...........Joking of course...

actually that might be a great last resort. You can section the carpet. I am sure if it is commercial carpet you can find it very easy. All you will need to do is cut out the large area, through it away and clean the floor under it, then place the new carpet down.

I have done that with some auto seat restorations, it works very well.

Try a product called Natures Miracle......you can get it at pet stores. It's normally used to remove pet stains and odors, but I've used it on a wide variety of smells, it works by enzymatic action. If you have a smell with an organic origin this should do the trick Best of all its reaonably cheap! :xyxthumbs

Without reading this, I bought that exact product! Kinda scary huh?? It seems to be working fairly well.

Guess, and NYD, thanks for your suggestions but that's waaay more involved than I'm willing to get b/c the problem is really not my responsibility. I like your suggestions though.
