Extra Products?

The Rainmaker
When I was working, I used to take a box of detail products I no longer used in to the office occasionally and it was grabbed up pretty quickly. That company was sold and I no longer know very many people there so I din't have a convenient way to pass the stuff on. I hate to just send it to the hazardous waste site, but I have no idea what to do with it. Most of it has been used to some extent and isn't full containers so Good Will or the Salvation Army stores don't want it.
Any ideas?

You could try giving it to one of the neighbors kids (maybe they will catch the bug) try giving it to the boyscouts or just put them out in a garage sale

Charles, there are a few forums(that you frequent) that have a trader forum. Offer them up to the members for cost of shipping, or trade, or to purchase.

I have used these forums many times over these last months. Some I offered for free some I traded. On any trade or give away I also gave a little extra. It was a fun process. It also thinned out my arsenal of products to manageable proportions.

It also got me to meet some real nice people who I now call my friend.

All the neighbors either have very young kids or their kids are grown and gone. I did give a bottle of Meg's #6 to a neighbor, but I doubt it will ever be used.:)
Garage sales aren't my thing. I really don't want anyone to see what I have in my garage that they might want to come back and get some night.:)
I'm also somewhat particular about keeping the garage door closed. If they don't see it, they probably won't steal it.
And yes, I'm somewhat paranoid, but I did once have the gatage broken into.

Thanks Kirk, but the only other detailing forum that I post on is MOL and quite few of my give away products aren't Meguiar's.

Just a thought. The next time you stop in on your way to Alaska, maybe you could load it up and give it to some of the people there.

Charles bring it to either a flea market or car show next Spring and put a price of .50 -$1.00 on each item and they will disapear quickly. I know I wouldn't want a bunch of people going through my garage either ;)

I'm wondering if you have some of the things I've been meaning to test. I just started ordering new pads and plates tonight.

post up what you want to get rid off, loads of people would be happy to pay shipping and little extra to cover your trouble

Rule number 7 of the "Forum Rules", is my excuse.

7. No buying, selling or trading or want ads. If you have new or used items to sell, we suggest that you visit a website that is designed to accomodate member to member sales such as Amazon.com or Ebay.com.

Actually, it's really because I don't want to go to all that work.:) Throwing a bunch of stuff in a box isn't much effort.
Taking inventory, posting a list, getting a bunch of boxes, packing things up so they don't spill or break, getting addresses, making labels, working out the shipping arrangements, taking each package to either the Post Office or U.P.S. would be much more effort than I care to go to.

I think I might take a small box of stuff to a friend's body shop and see if anyone there takes it. If they do, I'll take some more till it's gone. That way, if he gets tired of having it around, he might get rid of it.:)

I know its a long shot, but do you have any detailing shops close to you. If so then gve them to one of the staff with a little note with dc's url. Get them hooked on how to detail properly.
Im not sure what you have around you but thats what I would do.

Close being a relative term, I could find several within 30 miles, but most of them would have no interest in getting any suggestions from someone like me as to where to go to get advice on detailing.:)
