Extensive Zaino review

Great review! I have been using the complete z line and have been very happy with it. I was worried about using z6 as a qd because you are supposed to use so little that I thought it would scratch my black car, so I started using FK425 as a qd over my zaino finish when car is a little more dirty. It worked great!

Any opinion on how the Z line compares to Ultima line?

Z6 is my favorite QD, IMO there is just nothing like it. If I were you I would get some Poorboys Spray and Wipe to use when the car is "a little more dirty" or some ONR and mix up a QD strength bottle.

Oh hell. now I have to go out and buy another line. hahaha! Scott, thank you very much for the great review. You sure do have alot of fans (myself included), and the pics are great! Thanks again.

Iman-I can't compare durability because I've only had the Ultima products a few weeks, but I will say that Ultima PGP amps up the wetness a lot more than Clear Seal does.

One thing that Zaino has to be given credit for is the fact that the shine and gloss doesn't degrade. At 1 month, 3 months ,4 months-it still looks great. We'll have to wait for the reviews as to whether Ultima has the same ability or whether the gloss and shine diminish over a couple months.

I can tell you that after just 3 weeks the shine on the UPGP side of my car vs the Z5 side of my car that the UPGP is loosing slickness and shine which really surprised me.

WHB,

What was your impressions of Z5 and UPGP the next day after application (after both products have been given time to cure).

TIA :wavey

UPGP was slicker and brighter after application. I think that if we are going to compare things here we should be comparing a WOWA product to another WOWA product like UPGP vs ZCS. That test I will hopefully be doing this weekend if my order gets here by then.

I've had Opti-Seal on several cars now since late March and April and even with all the rain we've had, all those cars still look great and have decent slickness. OS head to head with Z5 Pro (on two seperate vehicles, one with Z5, the other with OS-same owner, same day)and at two and a half months showed that both products were holding up very well-beading, slickness and appearance.

Until I have a similar time frame that I can evaluate Ultima, I can't make any durability claims.

Haha Z-6 does totally smell like cough syrup, I've said the same thing. I will say I have grown to like the smell now. I have diamond graphite and I LOVE the way zaino makes it look, the flake really does pop. I will usually do Z-5 followed with a wipe down with Z-6 and then I'll do a couple layers of Z-2pro and whoa mama! What impresses me the most is how long it lasts...easily over 3 months+ for me. Just a few examples of how my car looks when Zaino has been used.
