Experiences using Z5pro with OUT zfx?

I've heard conflicting information regarding this topic so I wanted to dedicate a post to it. Curious what your guys' experiences have been using Z5pro with out ZFX. Especially over K-AIO.

I've done it a number of times - it doesn't do any wonders for durability, but I've seen 4 months and still going strong with Z5pro over FPII on my buddy's Explorer - and it's not garaged.

The original Z5 worked fine for me without adding ZFX. Single layer, topped with Z8 and at the two month point, it was still beading nicely and very slick. Probably would have gone longer but the owner of the car wanted it waxed every 2 months. Just kept adding Z5 and Z8 until it needed polishing again.

I've tested Z2pro without ZFX. I got about 4 months out of it with monthly washes. ZFX helps strengthen the molecular bonding and seems to improve the beading and durability.

What about on looks? Does not using ZFX have any impact on looks?

Not really "IF" you have well bonded Z1 or ZFX applied previous layer(s) and evaluate appearance the next day. ZFX enabled Z2/5PRO will appear better right after application in comparison to just Z2/5PRO applied over an established coat of Zaino sealant. Why? Almost instantaneous curing which immediately brings out the final appearance that normally takes 12-24hrs without an activator.

Hope this helps.:cooleek:
