i want to see more of this!

You setup is top notch! I didn't expect anything less!

I see you're using an electric pressure washer. Are you using a generator or customer's power?

i didn`t test the setup yet , still some work on interior to be done.

i will use both electrical sources , if parking lots than generator... depends what kind of jobs i have.

i may made a mistake with honda 2000 generator , i will be limited to use one tool at a time. but can be upgraded anytime if needed.

my set-up is for small jobs , 1-5 cars a day , max 10 cars if light clean up is needed.

next week i have the water filter and the weekend i will install the neon light on interior , also the perforated side windows will be replaced with full vinyl, so it match the color, i didn`t know when i order the wrap that will be color difference.

i did test the pressure washer , is very quiet , i plan get a remote and install it in the switch box so i don`t have to go to the car all the time to shut the pw off.

also next week i meet with living social :)) will see what`s their story

NICE! Set up looks efficient. Heres a link to another thread about Living Social.

1-2 cars a month i can quote and detail without seeing the car, i can`t imagine volume on a fix price.... plus.... i do 50/50 if they pay my insurance , gas... and lunch with redbull .. why not :D , next week i will meet them and see what they want.

here some update of the interior , i add some light....

Great post. I've decided this is what I want to do. Like you starting out, I have no direction or knowledge of how to get started. Thank you for posting your story.

Very inspiring stuff Cosmin. I remember back in the day your thread about how proud you were you had hit 2000 in one month for the first time. Wishing you continued success in the future. I do miss your click and brags though. I always thought your corrections were extremely impressive.

Thank you !!

i been busy and tight up in a few projects.

i do detail to my clients needs , is not always autopian style , is been a good strategy so far.

my helper made 2000 :)) , i have him for 17 days and it made a huge difference, and was a mid busy weeks , with rain in forecast, and a few reschedule jobs. and my helper doesn`t polish yet, once he learns how to , than things may be even better.

my goal is 10k a month with helper included, and i think is possible. this mo i have my first boat , interior only but still , can be a new market with the lake at 20 min away.

Wow, awesome man. I'm just now taking detailing full-time. I've done side jobs here to there through referrals, but have been turning down jobs left and right. I do one car and get 10 e-mails or phone calls about it. I put my 4 week notice in last Friday and have already booked 2 jobs the week before I start! (Co-workers mom wants her husbands boat detailed while he's away for the weekend).

I've been detailing for the past 4 years *rarely the first 3* and have toyed with the idea for probably way to long. Now, while under the safety net of the GI Bill, I'm going for it. Great story, thanks for posting incomes for way more than I make now, lol. I'm still in school and get the GI Bill, so I don't have goals of making that much, just enough until school is over, but this definitely got me psyched. Congrats on your business. My teacher said something to me on Monday that I think applies to you more so, "you are very disciplined, insightful and willing to work. Many good things will come to you. You will do great in life."

I'm so glad that this thread has kept going! Thank you sir for sharing.

Do you feel that your business was able to grow faster after going to the DBA? Did you start out with the DBA? I would like to know more about this.
