exhaust tips--inside.?

I clean the inside of the tips with safe wheel cleaner first. I have SS tips.
Then I polish the inside with 000 steel wool and opt. metal polish. Then move up to 0000 s.w. w/ opt m.p. Then m.p. with a old torn up cyan HT pad

Hold on a minute - some tips have chrome outside but black painted inside. Don't start with steel wool on the inside until you know if it is supposed to be black!

If there factory pipes then yes, there silver...errr stainless inside :-B

Softoa ,you can use steel wool wet or dry . I prefer wet because then you dont have to deal with breathing in tiny steel fibers or them getting on the paint. I like to use it wet with wax infused carsoap myself .

Also be a little more gentle if your using dry steel wool , its a little bit coarser when used that way .
