EX VS. Klasse on Jet Black

I don't have a garage but I have decided to drive the 1.5 hrs to a relative that does.

I'm planning to use a combo of Menzerna Intensive / Final Polish to remove the minor dealer swirls and get the paint perfect. Even got some good ole 3M Tar Remover which hopefully will take out all the waz residue in all the trim creases.

Klasse is still keeping the dust low on the brakes and I'll be using what works. BMW brake pads just love making dust.

Anyhow, I don't really have the Autopian need to experiment every few days <g> but for those that are famililar with Klasse and EX, what product in your Opinion would come out better on a Jet Black Car. I'm sure this is all subjective. Took me 5 different tire dressings and my favorite is Zaino Z16. Works great on the tires and gives a great lasting finish on all the rubber trim on my car.

Thanks in advance for all your feedback

you are right ...at this level of detailing the look becomes totally subjective.....just like your tires everyone will have a look in their mind of what they picture as the "best" :wavey

jsoto,

Regarding jet black paint, on a BMW, I have a personal choice that is my current favorite.

After the paint is well polished and looks the way you want after polishing, I love the following sealant ant topper.

Poorboys EX Sealant applied by hand. I apply three layers of the EX, at least 24 hrs apart. I really like the way the EX looks on the jet black paint by itself. Very rich and deep for a sealant.

I prefer to use a topper on my BMW, Just to accent the Depth of the paint.

The next step is Souveran wax. I apply 2 - 4 layers of Souveran at least 12 hrs. apart. I use Pinnacle Crystal Mist and Mequiars Final Detail QD's to keep up the awsome shine!

Here are a few pics with the EX and Souveran combo.

AMP99, I love how you took a few shots of your baby while refueling! You and your car must be really close! :up

jsoto, EX for looks & SG for durability. Don't get me wrong though.... both products look fantastic on black, but if you want to nitpick, I'd say EX looks better than SG.

I use both products. I like Klasse on my wife's white car but prefer the EX on a dark emerald green and also on a red car. The longevity of Klasse if definitely better but the EX is definitely easier to use. I think both are great products but would go with the EX on the black. I think the wax topper would add a little to the looks of both Klasse and EX but it also adds to the dust attraction. Sometimes it just depends on my mood.
