EX-P on the CRV

Saturday I did a full detail on my CRV, this time added a coat of EX-P.

Process:
Wash (PB SS&S)
Rinsed and Dryed
Spray & Rinse for wheels
BnB on Tires
PB Trim Restorer for Black Trim (waited 30 min. then buffed off)
PwC Blue wiped off with Mega Plush from PB
EX-P (left for 45 min. removed with Cobra Plush Towel)

Now, with the addition of EX-P I am supposed to get more protection and good endurance. What can I expect to see? If it rains, what type of beading should I see? How do I know EX-P is protecting my paint? Likewise, how can I tell when it has or is beginning to wear off?

Thanks ahead for any info!

The trim restore looks REALLY good on your CRV! That said, your CRV looks good -one of the best that I've seen!

If you wash your vehicle weekly, you should see 3-4 months of protection from EX-P -all things considered. You should top that bad boy with some Natty's!

Good job on the detail... good looking auto!

Before topping with Natty's, I'd suggest doing another round or 2 of EX-P, that way you have a very solid sealant layer on which to add your wax layer. IMO, the regular Natty's (or Max Wax) would look better than Natty's Blue, not that NB wouldn't look wonderful also. Thereafter maintain by bathing with PB SS&S and PB S&G or PB QD+.

Also, did you put the PB Trim Restorer on the wheel cover? Looks good.

I agree, not many times where the trim stands out as it does here. Nice work!

Yes, I love my CRV Trim!

I used Trim Restorer and buffed it off with Costco microfiber towel. I believe Steve recommends a cotton towel, but I didn't have a clean one. That is what I usually use. I sure love the way it comes out - perfect amount of shine to complement a clean car.

On the spare tire cover, I actually used Armor All Ultimate Clean. I am trying to get rid of some that stuff when I can. I certainly don't use it anywhere else on my vehicles, except maybe the wheel wells sometimes.

You did a excelent job! Now go get some Natty's blue and put 3 coats on and get out the shades because the shine is going to blind ya!!!:howdy

How many hours did that take you? I spent 4 hours on a crv the other day and it didn't look a FRACTION that good!!

I would say I spent about 5 hours this time around. I did cleaned the interior a little, vaccuum and PB NL on the doors and dash. I think it helps that I began taking good care of my CRV from day one, so I have never had to bring it back from a bad state or anything. That way it always looks great!

Thanks to detail city!

Your CRV truly looks great.

BTW, have you wondered why Honda doesn't badge the trim level of the CRV?

I had a 99 EX... It would have said CRVEX... :):thanks
