Ever see an oxidized Lexus?

That's the point Bret. Like many things in life, when one find something that has worked for them they stick with it ( brand loyality). Because a Toyota, Nissan, Honda may not have the mystique of a BMW or Merc that some desire, they do make driving a care-free endeavor at a reasonable price.

The irony is that some people still consider certain cars as not being up-scale and would rather pay a little more to be noticed for their expenditure ( Lexus vs Toyota Hi-end SUV, Infiniti/ Acura vs C class, Camaro vs Firebird, 350Z vs Boxster, etc, etc.). :nixweiss

Of course there are many other factors that are factored into the car purchasing decision that are more or equally important. Style, Services, Insurance, usefulness ( apparently very minor these days), Joy to drive, and vehicle dependibilty history.:wavey
