Ever did this with 1Z Ultra?

To make a long story short, I got some samples of 1Z Ultra and PP. I've already used the PP but have the ultra lying around. Then, I opened it for the first time and noticed it had a smell like Brasso.



After that, I thought to myself that it would be interesting to see how well this product polishes metals. What I did was took some oxidized coins I had lying around (2 pennies, a quarter, and a nickel).



I applied the polish to a MF and scrubbed it using a back and forth motion. After that, I wiped the coin with the other side. I was actually pretty pleased with how the coins turned out.



Now, I am considering using 1Z Ultra as a metal polish for things like exhaust pipes.
 
Yep, I've used it on tailpipes. Heh heh, sorta gives one pause about using it on paint, huh?



And now that you mention it, yeah, that stuff *does* smell like Brasso! Gee, takes me back to marching band :D
 
Accumulator: I have a dollar coin that I am thinking about polishing with this stuff.



But I agree. It does give me pause about using it on paint.
 
Pause or no pause, the stuff's awesome but to be perfectly honest, I think I like 3M PI RC just a *little* bit better. As far as PP, it's my fav.

Ultra cleans them OK though, at least in my experience. Guess it depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Yeah, if (big "if" with Audis and the Mazda) the PI-III RC will cut it I prefer it too. Less micromarring by far. But Ultra is great for fingernail scratches behind Audi doorhandles, for instance, and other such sorta-serious marring on hard paint. If Ultra won't do it, I let it be.
 
Have tried the ultra but I did briefly polish an exhaust component with 3m Super Duty RC, literally liquid sandaper, only thing I'd use it for
 
I am going to keep my sample and use it as a metal polish since it works pretty well on certain metals. A good application would be diamond plate.



I may also have to try the Super Duty RC.
