Etching with a carnauba?

Anyone have any issues with etched water spots or bird droppings with REGULAR carnauba applications? I have not, but I have with a sealant. Just curious if what I'm seeing off base.
 
I don't think what you're seeing is abnormal. I don't have enough "evidence" to say one sealant/wax will allow etchings while one won't (that'd be very hard to test), but in general I notice more waterspots when using a sealant, for whatever reason.
 
i got bird poop etching a while ago (pre-autopia) but i was using one coat of Eagle 1 Wet Wax and from what i know now not letting it cure on the paint long enough.
