Just bought a 2003 G35 Coupe.

What can or should I do to keep the engine and engine compartment clean.

Is the Shinny dressing that the dealer applied good to have sprayed on the engine?

I feel that all it does is collect more dust.

Are there products that can be utilized to keep it clean w/o housing it down?

You can always just try to wipe it down with a wet rag.



I wipe my engine down with a wet rag every few weeks to get the dust out of it. It stays pretty clean. I hardly ever have to hose the thing out.



For a dressing that dries 100% and doesn't really attract any dust you might want to try 303 Aerospace or Pro's Glosso.



Cleaning your engine with a hose isn't really that difficult either.
