Engine Bay Detail - What to Use?

I have a Scion tC and am looking to detail the engine for a show coming up this weekend.



I plan on using Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer for all the rubber/plastic components.



I have a carbon fiber engine cover that I wanted to shine up. What can I use? I've read people saying to treat carbon fiber as if it were paint, but since it gets real hot in the engine bay, I'm not sure if it's safe to wax it. Can someone provide input here?



Also, what can I use on the supercharger? The shaft is real dirty and I was thinking of using an all metal polish. Would this be okay or do you guys recommend something else?

since you treat the carbon fiber like paint, top it with a sealant.

i really just want it to be super glossy. so no wax then? the sealant will be enough to achieve the extra shine?

Either might have a hard time with underhood temps. But the wax will certainly give up before a sealant.
