Enclosed vs open trailer?

Tow rig is a Suburban, 5.3 2wd, up to the task of either.

Was looking a the pros and cons of open vs enclosed trailer. Pure mobile car wash and wax, interior, etc, but no paint correction. Will have power washer, generator, and water tank, and of course chemicals, tools, the usual suspects. Truck is a personal truck and dont want to load it up since it will be used for family and kids.

What works best for you, or what do you think?
Thanks

When not in use, would the trailer be sitting in a garage or outside?
More than likely outside, but I know there are ways to secure product still.

My gut was enclosed, plain inside so I can set it up my way. After seeing g all the open trailer out there, I did t know if it was a better or just a different option.

Do you have some examples of open trailers? Im curious how guys that do open trailers secure their supplies and tools

Only benefit I could see with an open trailer is cost and maybe weight savings

This is a common one, or at least setup.

Ive seen the truck boxes, plastic boxes, ammo cans, and all sorts of other things.

It depends on what you plan to haul. If you want a mobile "workshop" youll want enclosed. If you want to haul a tank, generator, pump and hose, you can probably get away with an open trailer.

Bottom line is enclosed is more secure. Open will give you easier access to everything and probably help with any fumes that could be an issue with an enclosed trailer if you run a generator.

i second the idea that enclosed provides excellent advertising space.
