hey.. i think im gonna re detail my car again... i still see swirls and stuff... i was wondering... is that bad to do? and i tried using OHC with a light cutting pad but wheni take it off it has a lot of marring .. is that bad??? will my FPII take that off? what shouldi do.. can you give me a process? plz man



i have these products:

FPII, OHC, EX-P, NATTYS BLUE, VANILLA MOOSE WAX HAND GLAZE



what should be the process?





i did this 2 weeks ago:



wash meg soap

clay

OHC w/ polishing pad

FPII w/ polishing pad

EX-P w/ finishing pad

nattys blue by hand

I don't see anything on your list aggressive enough to deal with a real swirl problem. You need something like Poorboy's SSR2.5 or Menzerna IP. FPII is something to follow up an aggressive polish with to finish the surface out before applying sealant.
 
OHC is aggressive enough of a compound to take out swirls. You might want to consider getting a heavy cutting pad. Also, remember it will take patience to remove swirls with a PC- go slow, use quite a bit of pressure, and it may take several passes or more.
